Supervisor Seeks To Influence Elections

An email sent by Mr Feiner, utilizing the Town’s official email list - known as the GBList, was received by several thousand residents. ABG believes he intentionally sent the email with the subtle, but noticeable endorsement of his chosen candidate. We also believe Mr Feiner is behind the creation of the unofficial and unsanctioned group calling themselves fire monitors. Could this group’s cherry-picked candidate have been chosen as a puppet for the benefit of influencing and even controlling voting outcomes and decisions that the corner office in Town Hall desires? ABG believes so.

Below is a screen capture of the email that Mr Feiner sent to residents on “his” email list. Notice that the first name is larger than the others. This smacks of subliminal advertising that was outlawed years ago when the television industry embarked on similar deception. Since Mr Feiner is not in television or advertising, per se, he’s probably not broken any laws, just a moral code of conduct. Frankly, we believe you’d be hard-pressed to find much in the way of morals from the leaders of the Town after scrutinizing their past actions.
Screen Capture:

Because of Mr Feiner’s bad behavior with the email, a letter was sent to him from the Fairview Fire District. Here is the contents of that letter (italicized by us for differentiation):

Dear Mr. Feiner:

The Fairview Fire District received a copy of the election information that you provided via the Town’s gblist. The information that you provided is not in the form that the Fairview Fire District provided to you. By emboldening the name of one candidate for fire commissioner, you may have performed a disservice or harm to the other candidates whose names were not emboldened.

Thelia Mauro
Fire District Secretary
Fairview Fire District
19 Rosemont Boulevard
White Plains, NY 10602-1680

candidates running in Fairview (in order of ballot position):
Claire C. Pizzuti
Todd V. Cammisa
Keith Guerra

We agree with the Fire District’s contention that Mr Feiner’s actions were inappropriate and improper. Some might ask, “What’s the big deal?” Frankly, Mr Feiner has been attacking the Fire Department, their officers and the Fire District as well as their Board of Directors for some time now. It is commonly known that he has always wanted to have control over the Fire Departments budget and personnel. However, just because Mr Feiner wants it, doesn’t make it legal, right or something that should happen! Thankfully, the law will not permit him to wreak the havoc on the Fire District as he has done with the Town.

Another issue that has often cropped up is Mr Feiner’s use of the GBList for his own benefits and agendas. In fact, when Mr Feiner sends out these email blasts, usually one or two a day, under the guise of providing information to residents, what he is really doing is campaigning through subliminal advertising all over again. He has also used the GBList to attack others who either disagree with him, his policies or the Town Board.

In fact, because the emailing scheme perfected by Mr Feiner works so well for him and has been used against others who disagree with him, many insist this lopsidedness must end. Worthington Woodlands Civic Association President Dorrine Livson requested from Mr Feiner and the Town Board a copy of the GBList via the FOIL process so her civic association could present other points of view to association’s residents. Her request was refused. She appealed. She was refused the appeal, although she knew her appeal would be refused as the appeal process is “adjudicated” by, none other than, the Town Board - the same people refusing her original request! So much for open government and transparency - mere buzzwords to Mr Feiner, et al. Undaunted, Ms Livson begrudgingly went to court to present her case where she was victorious! She waits now for the GBList while Mr Feiner appeals the court decision and drags his feet toward compliance.

Mr Feiner knows how to skirt around the edge of the law while disregarding the intent, flavor or underlying tenets of the law for his own benefit. Taxpayers be damned! This must change. It is up to the voters of Greenburgh to see this change happens. Only then will we have A Better Greenburgh.

  2. Pizzuti is THE Hand Picked candidate of Alan Hochberg a convicted felon and Milt Hoffman, a long time political ally of Paul Feiner. A vote for Pizutti is a vote for Hochberg!!!!

  3. Who the hell is Alan Hochberg? Evidently, this smear campaign is designed to divert attention from a great candidate. The above post seems to be a Trojan horse for one of the other candidates. Let us not be fooled. Claire Pizzuti IS the best candidate for Fire Commissioner.

  4. Alan Hochberg is Paul Feiner's Chief advisor. He is the Deputy Town Supervisor. Five years ago, Hochberg chaired a committee that investigated the three fire districts. Milt Hoffman was a key part of that committee. Milt Hoffman has gone on to form a fire department watch group at the behest of Hochberg. Pizutti is a prominent member of this group. A vote for Pizzuti is a vote for the convicted felon Alan Hochberg!!!!

  5. So we have a Deputy Town Supervisor who is a convicted felon? This does seem far-fetched to me. I know Claire Pizzuti and I can tell you she is no one's puppet. A vote for Claire Pizzuti is a vote for Clair Puzziti!

  6. So anyone who does not agree with the opinions of the anonymous members of the "staff" of this blog must be part of a town-wide conspiracy? Seriously?

  7. my research on the matter of Mr. Hochberg demonstrates the following:

Alan Hochberg, a Bronx Democrat, was re-elected in 1976 to the Assembly,
but never took his seat after being accused and later convicted of
promising an opponent a $20,000-a- year job to stay out of the primary
    race against him.

Hochberg, who chaired the Assembly's Ethics Committee, was convicted
after a three-week court trial in December 1976. He was sentenced to one
year in jail and in 1977 was disbarred from practicing as an attorney.

How this now relates to the current election is a mystery to me. A matter that was settled over 25 years go seems a bit remote. Just my opinion

  8. A Leopard does not change its spots and neither did Mr. Hochberg. A couple of years ago during his retirement party one of the accomplishments he was congratulated for was his service to his country as a Marine sargeant fighting in Vietnam. Hochberg was NEVER in the military and allowed this lie to go unchallenged. Of course, he was the source of the lie. As head of the Poet's Corner Civic Association Hochberg gets involved with Greenburgh Town Politics. Faul Feiner has found a political soul mate whose disregard for honor and honesty is equivalent to his own. Milt Hoffman always had a deep rooted hatred of the Fairview Fire Department. Chief Mauro would never bow down to him. Hochberg chaired Feiner's committee on fire department consolidation and Hoffman was a prominent member of it. Hoffman's "Fire Monitors" are a direct result of that committee. Pizzuti owes her new found prominence within the Fairview community to Hoffman, a Hochberg puppet and long time Feiner apologist. Thus, a direct link is made between Pizzuti and the convicted felon Alan Hochberg. A vote for Pizzuti is a vote for Hochberg!!!!!!!!

  9. If Pizzuti was such a good candidate, why would she be associated with the Hoffman, Hochberg crew? Hoffman KNEW Hochberg was a convicted felon and hid those facts from the people. Hoffman hand picked Pizzuti. What horrors would we be in for with a Pizzuti administration??? No one that Hoffman hand picks can be trusted. They would be in place to follow the Hochberg agenda, plain and simple.

  10. Which one will lower the sky high fire district taxes which support the sky high salaries, benefits and pensions?

    ReplyDelete
  11. ALL THREE candidates are undoubtably against higher taxes. The correct question is which candidate is beholding to a convicted felon and master of stolen valor???

  12. Clearly someone has a grudge against Hochberg and has decided that smearing a candidate for Fire Commissioner is the appropriate side-skirmish to air a grievance he/she has against him. I agree that Clair Pizzuti is the best candidate for Fire Commissioner. Thank you.

  13. A vote for Todd Cammisa is the only way to preserve the excellent quality of fire protection that Fairview residents are used to. There are far too many questions concerning Ms. Pizzuti's association with Milt Hoffman and his obedience to the Hochberg/Feiner line. I urge all voters to cast their vote for Todd Cammisa!! Thank You.

  14. Ahhh, I see. So it is now clear that the posts that have attempted to smear Ms. Pizzuti have come from the Cammisa camp. How sad that he is so desperate.

  15. Nope. It is written by concerned citizens who don't want to see a convicted Felon like Alan Hochberg be reprersented on such an inportant Fairview Institution as the Board of Fire Commissioners. A Vote for Pizzuti is a vote for Hochberg!!

  16. Maybe the Feds should step in to investigate racketeering, aka the fire districts. There is an implied threat to the public who have no other alternatives. A good reason to eliminate public sector unions, essentially a shakedown.

  17. Milt . . . You forgot to mention Lapdog for Alan Hochberg CONVICTED FELON and MASTER OF STOLEN VALOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Anon at 7:46 sounds alot like Richard J. from FLA., that Feiner lackey who fled to Florida and specializes in issuing internet threats to teenagers. Sorry Ricky, Alan Hochberg has been exposed as a convicted felon and anyone who is associated with him will be forever tarred.

  19. On the night that Alan Hochberg was exposed as a convicted felon and a disbarred for life attorney, Milt Hoffman admitted that he knew of Hochberg's past. By supressing the truth about Hochberg, Hoffman basically admitted that he puts politics ahead of honesty. Hoffman also threatened to spit on the individual who told the truth about Hochberg. Before Tuesday, Claire Pizzuti needs to answer several questions herself, not have Milt Hoffman write some PR for her. These are important questions and the public has a right to know: 1. Does she agree with Hoffman's covering up of the facts in the Hochberg case. 2. If she does not, why is she part of Hoffman's Fire Monitors? 3. Does Pizzuti agree with Hoffman's stated intent to spit on the individual who told the truth in the Hochberg case? 4. If not, why is she part of Hoffman's Fire Monitors? 5. Why hasn't Pizzuti publicly chastized Hoffman's brutish behavior? 6. Is this the type of behavior we can expect from a Pizzuti administration? 7. If Pizzuti pleads innocence to knowledge of any of the above facts, why should anyone vote for someone who is so clueless as to the goings on in Greenbugh in general and particularly the Fairview Fire District.

  21. I am well acquainted with Ms. Pizzuti and I can share with you that she does not know Mr. Hochberg. Claire Pizzuti is an independent woman and cares deeply about her community. I think this is evident in her bio that has been published here. Claire Pizzuti is the only candidate with an independent voice capable of understanding the budget and the needs of the community - and willing to stand up for the
    taxpayers.

  24. Please stop baiting the only candidate who has been at meetings since April when the issue of yet another Fire position was suggested which translates into more taxpayers dollars being spent needlessly. Ms. Pizzuti does not know Mr. Hochberg. As for Milt Hoffman, everyone knows him and he is a highly respected member of our community. No puppets here.....sorry to disappoint.............

  25. It seems to me that there is a whole lot of gender bashing going on here. I know Claire Pizzuti from Pace Law School and she is smart, articulate and highly ethical. I live in the Fairview Fire District and I will vote for her and I urge my neighbors to do the same. Good Luck Ms. Pizzuti!

  26. The Hochberg people have done an excellent job of opposition research. The only problem is that they can no longer cover up for Alan himself. There are only two candidates that have direct ties to this convicted criminal, Claire Pizzuti in Fairview and Mike Goldstein in Hartsdale. No amount of opposition research can change that. A vote for either one of those candidates empowers the criminal Hochberg.

  27. This misinformation disseminated by Anonymous posts is horrifying and should simply be discarded as falsehoods. I will cast my vote for Claire Pizzuti. Thank you for insuring that people are heard.
