Once Before I Go

Once before I go is a different sort of post, as I think of the Peter Allen song, “Once Before I Go”, and it’s second line, “I just want you to know...” Sadly, it’s the theme of my exiting the day-to-day operation of ABG.

I started ABetterGreenburgh a number of years ago due (as in diligence) to the frustration of decisions being made in the Town by a Supervisor and Town Board I believe is increasingly out of control and intoxicated with power. Year after year found the Town of Greenburgh becoming increasingly engulfed in illegal, immoral, and reprehensible behavior from The Paul and his Board.

This blog has helped me to stay active, meet some remarkable new people and maybe help expose, as Paul Harvey used to say, “The rest of the story.” My future posts will cover some of my motivation and logic of the posts on the site as well as commentary on what I observe.

I will be relocating and turning over the reins of ABG to a very capable Thomas Bock.

Tom is very involved in our community, does what he thinks is right, not worrying about other’s agendas, stays on course and is focused on what’s best for the residents of Greenburgh and Westchester and its visitors.

I want to thanks those people who’ve been there for me with ABG: Christina, Donna, Cameron, Dori, Bob and of course the G10. This has been a helluva ride! I’ll continue to watch online what goes on and discuss events with the ABG Team, occasionally submitting pieces, albeit from afar.

Good luck to you and the future of Greenburgh. We can only hope.

Bill
