Public Forum With The Commissioner of Public Works
Have questions about sanitation & recycling, road safety and repair, flood zone management, sidewalk installation, winter snow removal, or zoning in Hartsdale?
On April 6th at 7:30PM, the Hartsdale Neighbors Association (HNA) will give you a chance to ask them during a virtual public forum with Greenburgh’s New Commissioner of Public Works, Richard Fon.
The event will be hosted on Zoom, with live streaming on HNA venues.
Send your questions for Rich via email by April 2 to info@hartsdalenighbors.org/
Please put “Questions for Rich Fon” in the subject line.
The problem with the format is that there is no assurance your question will be asked or that it appear with the same words as written. Nor is there any assurance that unsubmitted questions will have an opportunity for airing which means that whatever Mr. Fon answers (my problem is with the format and program sponsors and not necessarily Mr. Fon) will remain uncontested. So ask yourselves what is wrong with an open Q & A period like was undertaken at HNA's safety forum. As for coming prepared, Mr. Fon might be armed in advance with problem areas he should brush up on (things that come with the territory he is supposed to know) before appearing but it is in moments of spontaneity that the truth is oft revealed. And why invite Mr. Fon if not for reasons already known?
