22 Tarrytown Road - Westhab

Is this spot zoning? Is the supervisor is in bed with Westhab and the Delbello law firm? Why change zoning when a Comprehensive Plan is just about complete? Why allow a developer to build beyond the sizing of other homes in the neighborhood? Why not go with a classic residential design that blends and looks like a home instead of like an ill-conceived hostel converted from an office complex? Why grant tax incentives to a developer who received the land for free, will build with taxpayer grants and then collect rent, running their business with some fat salaries?

  1. To circumvent their own ineptness, Westhab, the forthright company that stated repeatedly in front of the Greenburgh Town Board that they would need no variances to build, changed their tune. Now, because their flawed building design could not work because of easements from surrounding property, are going to the Spano trough one more time before he leaves office to beat the rap, so to speak. They will sell the property at 22 Tarrytown Road BACK to the County and then get it back from them but with the proviso that they can now ignore local zoning ordinances. This should not be allowed to happen! Not having any elected officials with the backbone to do the right thing, this travesty, an abortion of justice, must be stopped! Unfortunately, there are no elected officials locally who will go against Feiner for fear of political retribution and the County legislators and legislators-elect are more concerned with bringing non-residents into Greenburgh than supporting their constituents. Shame on them.

  2. Maybe Westhab has a limited time for the mortgage until they are in default and will be foreclosed on if they aren't building. It's probably why they are pushing the Town to act hastily to release their right to purchase the building.

  3. Maybe Mr Sanborn would not have been let go from Westhab had he listened to and worked with the neighborhood, instead of King Paul.
